Humor like "Bombur had grown so fat that he couldn't walk to the kitchen table and had to be carried by six dwarves"? Honestly, that bit in LotR is as low as any Gimli joke in the movies.
Perhaps Bombur will be the group's cook? It would make sense...

Of course all the tales in The Silmarillion put LotR in a whole new perspective. What was the biggest thing for you? For me, I never really understood LotR's ending until I read The Silmarillion.
